We are about ready to put this pile of junk on the curb. It never really washed anything that wasn't pre-scrubbed. It never dried well either... lot's of water on everything even after a 2.5 hour cycle. Now the heating element will not warm at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible racks

We bought this d/w 15 months ago as part of a kitchen upgrade. We an empty nest couple so it takes several days to get something like a full load. It cleans just fine, but the racks are terrible. The bottom rack tines have no adjustments--works fine for lots of plates but terrible for bowls--and the spacing of the floor tines is wide so you have to be careful that smaller items can't hang through and block the rotating washer. The upper rack makes you wonder if the designer ever tried to use it. It breaks wine glasses and though it pretends to have a holder for stems it doesn't work unless you put each glass over a vertical tine, taking up two rows. Finally, like most of its competitors, the silverware tray is on the side, so you have to open the door fully and slide the bottom rack out to access any but the closest baskets. No, one more thing. It's made of tinfoil. Your first clue is the warning not to use your knees to push the d/w into place as that would dent the door. This is the worst dishwasher we have ever owned.

Took a few of us to get it started for the first time, because of all the delay start mechanisms. Does a great job and is very quiet. Love the ease of cleaning the surfaces.

Nice dishwasher

This unit replaced an 18 YO dishwasher. It is very quiet, cleans well, has a variety of settings that do a good job. It is smaller than the old unit and the arrangement of the tines has taken some getting used to, but overall we are very pleased with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
