This item has lasted out big family about 8 plus years, only now are we looking for replacement parts. We use it daily. It gets handled roughly due to the kids loading it occasionally.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Every year something needs fixing

Dishwasher is only five years old and I have replaced the water pump once and the detergent dispenser cup twice. The chrome trim came unglued and more I need to replace the circulation pump. No more GE branded dishwashers for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

major leaking

This unit has been used less than 60-80 total times since it was installed in our home. In the past two months it has started to leak all over our kitchen and dining room floor.

Doesn't clean dishes and generally poor quality

We were talked into buying this model at a large furniture store in November of 2013. Within the first year, the plate covering the control panel came off and wouldn't reattach. Beginning in 2018, it would randomly not drain, instead leaking water all over the place. After a few years of that, we'd finally had enough. We replaced with a basic Bosch 100 at the end of 2020. After running a single load in the new dishwasher, we realized just how NOT clean the previous dishwasher was getting our dishes.
I worked hard at maintaining the GE, cleaning the filters regularly and using cleaners from an appliance repair store. The dishes were still dingy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quite unhappy with the build quality - this is no longer USA made. Guess where it is made? you guessed it. Now GE does not service my area and they do not have a tech support that can advise me on the parts needed and how to properly attach the part to the SS tub.
I have also purchased Kitchen Aid washers which are still made in the USA and they are night and day better.

Love this dishwasher

I really like this dishwasher. I have been pleasantly surprised at the work it does. We have it in a ski house where dinners are large and I one wants to was dishes. It takes all the plates, glasses and pans in one load! Great capacity. Great value.

Very poor quality

Not at all happy with this dishwasher. This came as upgraded kitchen appliance package and lasted for 4 years ONLY .lot of troubles. I had to call for repair atleast 5 times and then my insurance company suggested to replace the dishwasher.
