[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always buy the larger capacity cartridges. I just wish you would rethink that yellow piece of plastic you have to twist to get off. I have arthritis and it’s a pain
Replace cartridge and it was no better then the one with low ink. Clean print heads from setting. Did it work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Duane,
I am sorry for the confusion about the printhead versus the cartridge. You did exactly the right thing to get back to printing!
This type of printer has the printhead inside the printer and it can get clogged up. The ink within the cartridge can't get out very well if the printhead is clogged. There are a couple ways you can avoid having to clean the printhead from the printer settings..
First of all, if you are a frequent user of the printer, and keep it turned on all the time, the regular maintenance routines the printer runs will normally keep the printhead clean even on hot, dry days.
However, if you do turn it off between print jobs, it is very important to use the printer's power button to turn it off. That allows the printer to "park" itself in a way that protects the printhead from excess drying that can cause clogs to form in the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper.
Hope these tips help and you are able to get many more printouts in the future!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't used this one yet. But I only use the original hp ink in my printer. I have had problems in the past using the so called "good as" cheaper products. Had to buy a new printer. I try and buy new ink when I put the last cartridges in my printer.
