The cartridge is easy to install and remove and the ink does not cause any problems with my printer, whiich is also an HP product.

The orange tape that has to be removed to take off the plastic over the cartridge pulls off the
the white tab that has the color identity and "564 KL" on the back of the cartridge. This happened
with cyan cartridge too. This was not a problem in past.

limited shelf life?

I tend to order ink about twice a year. That way I can be certain to have ink on hand in case of a problem. I ordered 4 black cartridges last time. The last two cartridges were defective. I put each, in turn, in my printer and they did not work. The printer did not recognize one of them...the second just didn't print. The result was that I was left without ink when I had an important document to print and submit. Not what I expect after 20 years of excellent product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All ink cartridges are the only ones and the best to use with HP printers.
