My old GE Spacemaker II died after 25 years. That's pretty amazing considering how much I use my microwave. It's impossible to find something comparable and they've discontinued that model so I spent many hours researching what I should buy. Nothing fits my requirements with the wattage and reviews I'd like to read unless it's cost prohibitive. And I know nothing will ever last 25 years again.
I bought this model with a lot of hesitation and it's not nearly as heavy duty or solid as my old microwave. I haven't had it very long - just a few weeks, but it's working so far. I'm familiar with GE and the touchpad is almost identical to my old one so it's easy to use. I have to build a shelf to keep it off my limited counterspace and that's an inconvenience. Why don't they offer hanging units anymore that don't go over your stove?!!! It seems that everything I like is discontinued and appliances aren't meant to last long anymore.

Hard to find the dimensions to fit my custom space

Works great for my custom cabinet dimensions. Thanks for all the customer service help in choosing based on size and my needs. My former GE profile of 14 years ago died and GE does not make the size anymore😩 otherwise I would have preferred the size and wattage I previously had: 1.1 cu and 800 watts. Would appreciate being able to replace same for same but would have to remodel a large custom cabinets shelving unit.

I don’t use a microwave much, but this is very good for my needs. It takes up much less space than my old microwave, and is a breeze to use. The turntable is very stable, and doesn’t wobble. I particularly like the dedicated 30-second button, perfect for reheating muffins from the fridge to the ideal warmth. The timer button works beautifully, and the ring sound lasts until the button is pushed again, making it almost impossible to miss. It’s great for a single-person household and/or a small kitchen. It’s also a good value for money and comes from a major manufacturer.

So far been happy with it. We needed a smaller sized unit to fit our cabinet shelf. This fits the bill. Like the no beep/sound feature too
