After much research, found this GE model best fit my needs. Important features sought after were: size, easy to use, stainless, counter top appearance and value.

just what we needed

This product was bought for several reasons - needed the replacement, had specific size requirements, wanted stainless to match other appliance - and our old microwave was a GE as well. It is simple to operate - love it.

It's NICE to have another G.E. oven!

My last G.E. compact microwave oven just died last week after 7 or more years of service (it's been running so long I forgot how old it was!) First there was an unusual crackling sound inside after it shut off. Then on a 2nd try (not advisable) with a cup of water it began smoking heavily so I KNEW it's time was definitely OVER!
Finding ANOTHER just like it, especially in January was tough. Most were overpriced, junky brands with bad reviews so I was happy to finally find this one at Best Buy which also turns out to be an almost exact replica of my old one but with some smarter upgrades(like the optional reminder chime when cooking is done (1 beep per 5 minutes). I was impressed tonight on my first use with how much quieter it is even on HIGH (default) Now I won't have to turn-up the radio when I'm cooking to hear the news over the microwave!
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the model I received was BROWN with stainless trim rather than the smarter looking BLACK shown in all the photos (this was a discounted "Open box" deal) maybe that's why it was returned by a prior customer? But that issue isn't enough to warrant returning it after waiting a week with no microwave at all.
Anyway the brown color is natural feeling and relaxed almost blending in with the shadows beneath the cabinet, As for reliability or operational satisfaction it's too early to tell in this "out of the box - 1st frozen dinner review" :) But going by my prior decade(?) of experience with G.E. I am optimistic about this one too!

Perfect size

We bought this a couple weeks ago. We wanted a small microwave, but big enough for a plate of food that does the job well. It's great. Takes up very little space, looks sharp with our other stainless appliances and is simple and easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect fit

My old GE microwave finally bit the dust after 29 years. I certainly wasn't going to consider any other brand after that quality performance. Sort of bad timing, it died just two weeks after I had my cabinets modified so my under the counter microwave now had a dedicated shelf...so finding a similar sized new one was crucial.
This model not only fits perfectly in the same space, it operates in nearly the same way so I get the benefits of the new (like the carousel) I didn't have to retrain my brain
My only surprise was the cord was quite a bit shorter than my other one so I had to use a different plug.
So far I love it!
