I've had this new microwave for about 1 month. So far it has functioned as advertised. I like the fact that it is nice looking and very compact. I measured my dinner dishes before purchasing so the larger plates fit just fine. My only comment is that it took three weeks and several washings before the plastic smell in the inside began to dissipate. I would recommend for anyone who needs a microwave primarily for reheating food or beverages.

Attractive small microwave with convenient feature

I bought this 0.7 cubic ft microwave to replace an old Quasar microwave that sits on a custom shelf when I remodeled my kitchen 20 years ago. Used the new microwave for 2 weeks so far; very pleased with the one-touch express cook time feature. I almost thought the GE microwave is defective when I tried to set power level for melting butter. It turned out that the user manual on how to change the power level is incorrect. The correct way is to use time cook button first, enter the time, and then hit the power button to change to a low power level (like 1). Also, beware that the plug takes up 2.5" when plugged into an outlet. Because the new GE microwave sits on an 12" shelf, I am glad it is smaller than (width) than my old Quasar so I can move it to closer to one side of the shelf to have room to plug into the outlet that used to be behind the old Quasar. Finally, the turntable sits very solidly and does not shift after use. The one thing I do need to figure out is how to clean the finger print smudges on the stainless steel door.

Great microwave

This is very compact and fits well where I wanted it, does a great job without taking up a bunch of counter space. Has many levels for all kinds of cooking.

Replaced our GE mICROWAVE

We received our old GE microwave in 1994. It still works but when you shut the door it starts up by itself.It's 22 years old and the only one we could replace it with had to be a GE. We use it every day; mostly to reheat meals but what a quality product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
