Hard to read.

Like the product but very hard to read the keypad. Gray type on black background is never a good idea, especially for the elderly and visually challenged. Otherwise 5 stars.

Great value for compact microwave!

I specifically purchased this for its compact size, as my countertop space is limited and I wanted to place this next to my 'coffee bar' in my kitchen. It's compact size is perfect and I don't feel that I have sacrificed function, for it easily accommodates my full size dinner plates for quick reheating of bless-overs. I am very pleased with my choice and the performance of this product.

My new microwave makes noise. It doesn’t work sometimes after you input time to heat up food. It take multiple tries sometimes to reheat food.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just what I wanted in a microwave

I do not ask a lot of a microwave -- I don't need a lot of watts or features. I heat water, reheat coffee, heat canned soup and leftovers. Sometimes I make popcorn and once in a blue moon, I will defrost something. My main goal was to get a small, but reliable model. This fills the bill. 700 watts, small footprint, and so far, reliable. I would add that my mom needed a new microwave and she also needs a small footprint. After one I bought her lasted two years, the next one (same brand) lasted a little over two months. I decided to step up and bought her the JES1072SHSS and she loved it immediately. So, given that my old microwave dated to 1980 and this is just what I wanted in a replacement, I bought one, too. Perfect choice for someone with a small kitchen area or for a dorm room or office use. Or for someone like me who just does not use a microwave enough for something bigger, fancier, or more powerful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fits well onto our shelf

This was the best size we could get that fits above our shelf in our workplace kitchen. Because it's smaller, it is not very powerful. Overall, OK for work.
