Perfect for its size!

I needed a small microwave, to match my small kitchen and this was a perfect fit for its chosen counter spot. This size microwave does not accommodate microwave popcorn bags. The bag fills up and then gets stuck and doesn’t turn, and about half the popcorn actually pops. That was a disappointment for sure. The “it’s ready” sound is very annoying.

This is the second one of this model I have had. It was originally selected because it fit the size restrictions of my kitchen. It is an excellent product - as is expected of a GE product in both functions and ease of use.

Good features: fits a standard dinner plate; quieter than earlier GE countertop models; seats with pretty good stability against a wall, so doesn't move when opening door; push latch on door is easy enough action for aging hands. Average features: takes longer to reheat a plateful through than my previous GE; okay heating or reheating for hot beverages or soup but the times on the presets are not accurate; Poor features: interior is smaller than previous and microwave element apparently not positioned ideally. Deeper bowls heat from the bottom up, instead of edges to center, and food will seem hot, but have to go in for second heating. On a standard 37" counter height, the placement of the window would be useful only if you're under 4'5" in height. Otherwise you have to bend and get just the right distance away if you want to monitor for bubbling or boiling. Besides the window is too small, 8" x 4" with black mesh that obscures view anyway. Earlier GE 700W countertop models were taller, more window view, and well thought out for any use. This is a case of it wasn't broke, but they fixed it, as is happening all over the place these days. Change for changes sake is creating new generations that won't understand 'form follows function" or know quality from 'functionally indifferent."
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great product all the normal features of a full size microwave just smaller. A little longer to heat items up only 700 watts but still a great product.

Sleek looking microwave

Because it's small, it can tip forward easily. The turntable came off the track a couple times, but for a small .7 cf microwave, this does the job well. It fits a dinner plate, has all the features most people would need and it's an attractive looking appliance. Overall, I'm happy with it.
