Great Counter Top Microwave

This unit replaced an older model (same unit) that I purchased in 2008. I gave the older one (still working) to my son. I have been very happy with both units.

Good little microwave for small spaces

This was purchased to replace exact same model bought 4 years ago that got cracks on bottom underneath carousel and carousel quit working right. Old one may not have had enough ventilation and perhaps got too hot, causing cracks. Before that, we loved it, worked well, so got another. Good size and power level for minor cooking. Only complaint is numbers/word buttons very hard to see being gray on black. Need to be white on black.

Not impressed I replace the same model from 5 yrs

I replaced the same model from my old one from 5 yrs ago. The door is hard to shut and makes a loud slam noise. It dings. May be hitting something. Don't know but not good. Not happy with Ge lately. Products ares not like they use to be. Cheap made.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension.

Replacement for micro that died!

When my countertop white GE microwave of 20+ years died, I thought it would be easy to replace. I researched my options and wanted a small micro similar in size. Unfortunately I would have to give up a little power for a smaller one. I did eventually settle on a replacement which was a glossy white and it sat in the box for another week while I searched some more. I came upon this model which was only available online and decided to order it. It came in white also. I remodeled my kitchen about 5 years ago with all stainless appliances and the old white was there because it still worked. When I took it out of the box, I knew I made the right choice with the stainless and black. It's a tad smaller and less wattage, but that doesn't bother for my use. I mostly heat up dinner plates and beverages and it may take a little extra time, but that is okay. Popcorn bags can be a little tricky, you just have to fold the bag's ends and it works pretty good for that. It has many features, probably more than I need and it looks great and performs well. I'm very happy with this choice.
