Great small size microwave

I replaced a big countertop microwave with this GE model. I am pleased that it takes up about a third less space but still heats or reheat quickly. It looks attractive, too.

No more annoying beeps

The #1 feature I sought was the ability to silence those annoying beeps. Also, this model's footprint on the kitchen counter is shallower than most microwaves of this size. I also wanted a pull handle instead of the usual push latch, but apparently that is too much to ask for.

Doesn't take up a lot of counter space

I don't have much counter space so I was looking for a compact microwave that does all that you want a microwave to do -- heat up, have a timer, defrost. This one does it all and doesn't take up much space. I love it!

Makes noises when turning counterclockwise

I had a GE microwave spacesaver for 20 years and loved it!!! Then it died and your new ones don’t fit in my space. Only this little one does. It makes a grinding noise when it turns in one place counterclockwise. I don’t like that I can’t turn off the rotating turntable. Also it’s noisier than my old one. I would have paid a lot more money if GE had one that could replace my old one but the new ones are greater in height now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
