I have had no problems with this oven once I got used to pressing TIME instead of just entering a number.

My 19 yr old microwave quit. After looking at multiple microwaves, this GE met my needs best and was cost effective.

Mental Nostalgia Battle

I purchased this microwave to replace a GE microwave that I received as a gift when I went to college 22 years ago. My old microwave was probably more than I needed for a dorm room but a Consumer ratings magazine said it was excellent. I was more than disappointed when my old one died though I knew it had more than outlived it’s purchase price with daily use. When looking for a new one I wanted something that was similar to my first one and found this to be about the same size and slightly more powerful. I have been using this microwave daily and am so far impressed. The one nitpicky thing that I dislike about this is the need to press start after selecting the auto buttons like popcorn. My complaint about the design is the lack of auto cook options. Again this is a great microwave and my complaints are solely based on unreasonable expectations to replace my favorite microwave ever.

Good features for a good price

This is a great sized microwave for the countertop. Its been working perfectly since purchase. I do wish that the door latched more smoothly instead of catching with a big clunk. I’m afraid I’m going to break the latch.
