good microwave for a good price

I needed a smaller microwave for the limited space I had - this one fit the bill. My only complaint so far is that the touchpad is hard to read. The keys should be brighter or backlit.

Bought this one a few months ago wasn't sure how I was going to like it for my other microwave was larger in watts. But to my surprise it works just so good. It is easy to use.and also quiet.happy i bought it

This is a great medium size countertop microwave! It doesn’t take up too much counter space, is giant inside, and very powerful! I’ve actually had to scale down on cooktime because it works so well!

white costs far more than stainless, light not LED

my previous GE microwave lasted 11 years before it failed, so I hope this one will last a long time.
It works well, seems solidly built, and has only a couple of problems:
1) it's available in stainless steel, black, and white, but almost everybody stocks only the stainless version, so the white or black versions cost 50% more than stainless.
2) the oven light is incandescent rather than LED, so consumes ~20 watts rather than ~3 watts whenever the oven door is open, and I normally leave the door open to let the oven odors air out, so I go to the trouble of unplugging the oven when I'm not using it to avoid wasting electricity. further the bulb is a custom assembly rather than a standard bulb, so will be needlessly expensive to replace.
3) the controls on my previous microwave were white, so were easy to read in dim light, but on this microwave (the stainless version) they're black, so I have to turn an extra light on.

Incredibly quiet, only tick - difficult to open

We replaced our microwave due to a kitchen fire. This unit is so quiet and is pleasure to use on a daily basis. Our only odd experience is the "Open Door" button needs enthusiastic pushes before it opens.

replaced a 9 year old nearly identical GE microwave with this model. This is unit is the same capacity is noisy and under powered. A GE unit of equivalent power requires purchasing a larger unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
