This is my second GE microwave. I loved my 1st one but sadly a power surge killed it. So I got another one. I love the dinnerplate setting & the quick start features. I would recommend this microwave to my friends. It was economically priced too!

We bought this to replace our 15year old microwave that stopped working. I wanted something midsize, silver and black. The directions are easy to download. Only I'm not happy with the push button to open the door. Everytime the whole microwave slides as you press the button. Making the microwave hard to open. So I have to hold the microwave from sliding away and back. This leaves fingerprints on the top and sides. Also, the directions saw we can not put paper plates to reheat or napkins cover food. The other features like adjusting cook timing and temperature work great. When it heats, the item are heated nicely. If I put a beverage like coffee, to warm up. I have to make sure I don't spill it, when its time to re-open the door. Having to hold the edge of the microwave while pressing the button / release button to keep it from sliding away, is frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
