Good product - everything is as described

Good microwave so far.(have only had for a couple months) Only 2 minor issues or would have given an excellent rating. 1. The push lever to open the door requires a very firm push to open. 2. Can't see the buttons as they are not back-lit. Everything else works as well as you would want it to.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bad microwave

Bought about 1 year ago. Opened the box it came in and it had a dent on the side of the unit so that was already annoying. Microwave worked well for about 6 months, then started to short out for example when the food was done heating up and removed i would shut the door and it would still keep going but it was off it still kept running but without the light on or and countdown on display,and i would have to unplug the unit for it to stop. unfortunately today same thing happened but now more worse and when i plug it back in it just wont stop at all. Very scary and not ok. Im throwing it in the trash and will be buying another microwave today but will not buy GE product again especially not microwaves.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The product has been disappointing as the numbers/information are not easy to read and the membrane covering them has already cracked. I previously had a GE that seemed to be the same exact size, but a little more powerful, but it also seemed to be made a lot sturdier.

This unit does not hold candle to our old GE microwave that did every thing. This one ...the door is hard to open..... it growls (noisy) ..... touch pad....really not very happy with this unit
