Backward innovation!

Spacemaker JES1145 Heats fine. Stainless finish always fingerprinted. Replaces Spacemaker II Jem25. function buttons confusing: potato, frozen veg, beverage, pizza, dinner plate-Duh?????Poor choice of words for one who is gourmet microwave cook. So what levels are meant by potato? Frozen veg? Pizza? Poor choice of words for whatever the functions are. Most frozen veggies have time on pkg for different heat levels. And pizza? Never bake pizza. Another duh for what the heat level is! And then having to always use the rotating plate rather than flat surface option to use with certain Corningware casserole dishes. Where are Reheat, delay start? Manual provided has limited info. Expanded manual ordered from GE is not much better. Prefer design, utility and practicality of older, better designed Spacesaver!! Similar comments heard by others trying to buy replacement for JEM25.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have only had this product for a month, but I really like it and it works great. It is very stylish and looks great in my kitchen as it has minimalist modern design and the black screen matches my stovetop cooktop. Everything heats great, not to loud, and I use the kitchen timer often. No complaints at all.
