Very poor appliance.

I would not buy this brand again. The keypad is dimly lit, and the product does not heat quickly

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your new microwave. We regret your experience. It is easiest to open the door by pressing the center of the door latch release. When pressing in areas off center and further from center, the door latch is more difficult to operate. This is normal operation for the microwave.

Cheap junk

I had to return it. It was so light weight and flimsy that it would slide out of place when opening and closing the door. There was no way to close it quietly. It made a loud bang every time. I dreaded using it for that reason alone. Once while trying to find a guiet way to close it I got my hand pinched in the door. Also there were too many options which I wouldn't use. I can do my own thinking and don't need a microwave to "think" for me. I've had very good appliances from GE in the past but I guess they're getting just like everyone else and making cheap junkie stuff now.

Nice Reliable Microwave

I bought this to replace my old micro that burned out. Inexpensive but cooks like a micro that is several hundred dollars more.... Outstsnding product ! ! !

Microwave works great but door will not open

The microwave works great when I can open the door. The button does not always open the door. When it does open, the microwave itself works good and is quiet while operating. Not what I expect from a loyal GE appliance owner. Disappointing.

Keypad plastic covering deteriorating

I bought this microwave 12/7/18, great price, works fine but the keypad has some kind of plastic covering (overlay) film that is not removable and now has an large perforation which is growing bigger. So, the power/pause button area has broken down. It looks like a plastic bubble burst. It is hard to read. I am very disappointed.
P.S. I don’t have long finger nails or use a sharp tool to touch the keypad buttons!

Poor latch on door!

The door opening mechanism is poorly designed. The latch is difficult to activate and every time it is pressed it moves the whole microwave. Our last GE microwave was much easier to use. Also, the labels on the action indicators are hard to read

We enjoy our new microwave although the door opener button is quite stiff. When You press it to open, you have to press so hard it causes the unit to slide backwards.
