Selection pad should be lighted because depending where the microwave is located the selection pad can be difficult to see.

So Quiet!

Our last two microwaves were not GE. This is the quietest oven we have owned! Our last (I'll not mention the brand) I had to dismantle somewhat and add foam strips here and there so it wouldn't rattle each time we turned it on--even without the rattles it was still noisy right up to the day it died four years after purchasing it. I am hoping this GE will serve us for a longer period of time, but even if it doesn't, the relative quiet is nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This microwave is very good for use by my teenage grandson. He uses it most to heat leftovers, frozen breakfast meals, etc.

I Am Really Enjoying My New Microwave

I had to return one microwave because it was way too big for the space I have to put it. This one is smaller but still bigger than my old one which would not hold more than one of anything. I love the 30 sec. button and if reheating pizza, for instance, it asks you how many pieces. When you enter the number of slices you are reheating - they come out heated correctly for that number. I did not find any hot and cold places on the pizza. I like the way it looks, I ordered a white one that matches everything else. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase.
