Hi rox74 - Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your new microwave. We are sorry to hear you feel the unit is not very powerful and is noisy. We can certainly appreciate and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. To ensure your microwave is heating properly try the following performance test:
1)Place a glass bowl (preferably a 2qt. glass measuring bowl) with 1qt. of water in the center of the microwave cavity. The water must be 59-75 degrees Fahrenheit (15-24 degrees Celsius).
2)Heat the water for exactly 2 minutes 30 seconds on High
3)A temperature rise in the range of 28-40 degrees Fahrenheit (15-22 degrees Celsius) indicates that the oven is cooking properly.
If you find the microwave is not heating properly based on the test procedure we would recommend calling 1-800-432-2737 to discuss your warranty coverage. We wish you all the best! Vikki@GEA

Stylish and Efficient

Bought this to replace one that I’d had for 10+ years. The GE is very stylish and looks great on my countertop. I have no complaints or concerns about this microwave as it works very well on all settings. It’s also a good value at a great price!

Great microwave. Good size for countertop. Operates quietly. Love the kitchen timer feature that allows for shot time use of microwave and returns to timer function. Wish the number screen was brighter or lighted.
