I just love my new GR microwave it's safe efficient, compact. Sits just perfect on my counter-top and the reason I purchased because I changed all my appliances to stainless steel

Could not have been easier to replace our old microwave. Brought the GE appliance home unpacked it and plugged it in. Large range of controls and easy to operate.

Works great, but I have two issues with it.

The dark face panel is difficult to read; I need to turn on a light even in the daytime to see the "buttons". Also, the turntable rotates approximately once every 14 seconds; when I heat a cup of water, I never know where the handle will end up.

This GE microwave is a decent unit but to be honest, I liked my 20 year old
GE JEM25GY 002 a little better. The new JES1145SHSS is a little noisier and
it has no user input that allows one to turn off the annoying beeper sound. Also,
the stainless finish shows smudges more than my older GE unit did.

While the stainless steel does show smudgess, it can be easily cleaned using mild soap (dish soap) and water, then rinsed with clear water and dried with a soft cloth. Here are some more great cleaning tips: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16574
