Its a very efficient microwave, 950 watts isn't the most powerful, but that's less strain on your power system... This microwave has a very sleek stainless steel finish and a nice large cooking area...

Exactly What I Needed

My 14-year-old, non-GE microwave died while I was very sick and relying on it to heat water and food. I would have replaced it with the same model, but it was no longer available. After hours of shopping online, I found this one and I could not be happier with it. It has the features that I needed in the size that I needed at a great price from Best Buy with a one hour pick up time. What I really like about this compared to my old unit: 1) There is enough space between the top and the cupboards and the vents are on the side, making the top a usable storage space, 2) toddler proof features: push to open button is more difficult to open and less interesting than a grab handle, and it has a child lock. I have just one minor issue. It occasionally and randomly rattles when operating. I think it is the spinning tray. Overall, this is a win over the unit that it replaced.

Looks great and works better than I expected

I got this one to replace an 1100 watt GE microwave that I'd had for over 20 years. Size was a consideration due to limited counter space and this one fits fine. I have been pleasantly surprised that even though this one is a lower wattage I haven't had to make any but very small adjustments to warming/cooking time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This looks so fresh and beautiful in my newly designed kitchen. Our designer said GE is the best and I am so glad we listened to her expertise advice! The device is quiet and warms our food in half the time of our old microwave.
