It's simple to operate and works well. The only problem is the control panel is black with white symbols that require a flashlight to be readable at night.

This microwave does not have much power. It takes 1.5 - 2 minutes to warm up a bowl of oatmeal from the fridge. My previous microwave did this job in 30 seconds.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
