The unit works okay however;
A/ it takes longer than most to reheat
B/ the door closing mechanism is extremely loud
C/ the control panel is not back lit making it impossible to see which control you want to select.

Bought this microwave based on the high reviews. It was manufactured in June 2017. Started tripping my GF outlet. Tried different outlets, same issue. Other appliances worked fine. Got a PF notification. Reset. Would not stay on. Called GE. CS guy said he had same unit. Out of warranty, nothing can do but junk it. Don't waste your money. My GE refrigerator was junk too. I am done with this brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My previous microwave was a GE which I had for a very long time. Unfortunately I could not find the same size. The size similar to what I had is too big for the space I have. I had to settle for a smaller one. My previous microwave was a nice size with no turntable, so I could use round as well as square dishes. Now they all have turntables which reduces inside space and no option to turn it off. My GE Profile above the stove does have that option, but the counter top one with that option, was only 12” deep, not much room for any type of dish.

microwave works great, had problem with plug,needs to have plug to go straight in socket not to have cord going down from socket or over the other plug in.
