Overall decent but the buttons are impossible to see in low light. Microwave came with a dent in the side and the top of the unit can get very hot when cooking; so I wouldn't place anything on top of it. Just ok. Nothing to write home about.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Next, if your microwave was delivered to you damaged, we'd recommend reaching out to your dealer to let them know about said damage.
As for the exterior feeling hot, cooking foods in a microwave oven for an extended period of time can cause heat transfer to not only the internal oven walls and floor, but to the external cabinet, as well.
In addition to the heat that is generated outward from the food being cooked, the oven interior lamp and the magnetron tube will also contribute to external heat transfer. This condition is considered normal. The exterior case may have symbol (triangle with waves) stamped in the metal. This symbol means "Caution, hot surface". I like this microwave, it replaced my previous GE. The commands are different and to time cook you have to do an extra step. The other difference is that it. Is louder than my previous GEthat lasted 10 years.
