Adequate but disappointing

Very difficult to open and difficult to see the controls. Hard to understand the controls as well. I'm still attempting to find out just how to put the device on a lower power level. I suppose part of my disappointment comes from the amazing microwave I had before this one. It was also a GE, so I thought this would be comparable. A redeeming factor is that it definitely heats well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This microwave was just what I was looking for after my old one of 30 years decided to quit. My only bad comment is that the keypad is too dark and is difficult to read.

Nice Microwave

Bought as a replacement for an earlier model GE microwave, it has the same footprint as it's predecessor, but has a lower wattage ( 950 vs. 1150), the controls are easy to understand and the add 30 seconds button is a plus. So far it has met my expectations and functions well. A very nice basic microwave, and would purchase again.
