FUNCTION PANEL ILLEGIBLE IF NOT IN THE RIGHT LIGHT

Clearly I am writing about my recent purchase.
First let me say, I love the fact it's so quiet.
And the addition of being able to use the "timer" w/o food is great.
Where I'm not as pleased is with the features / functions. Actually the read out panel w/the numbers and settings.
ALL NEW AND CURRENT MICROWAVES have changed the appearance of this panel. If the appliance is not in the exact right light, or height, you cannot read the panel.
At times I even need to use a flashlight as it's a light gray on a black surface. It appears as almost a shadow at time.
May I suggest you add to your packaging a magnetic face plate (or some other form of adhesive) with these numbers and functions in "White" lettering. It could be applied over the current face plate and those of us w/not the exact right place / light to put our appliance, we could still read the functions w/o a flashlight. Seems like a really easy fix. OR, make it available for purchase as an add on or available on line. Honestly, I find this current feature ridiculous.
My previous Microwave - Emerson had a White face plate or rather all the numbers and functions were white w/black lettering. No guessing at all.
I wish I could provide you with a photo, but unfortunately that is not an option.
On your packaging / box it "appears" the panel is well lit, but it's not.
Even better yet, make the panel have a back light, so when you touch a function or open the door, the whole panel lights up.
So for now, guess I'm stuck w/using my flashlight to cook in non daylight hours.
By the way, this was my "3rd" purchase in less than a month, due to this stupid function. Clearly there are no other options.

Another GE microwave!

Best microwave for small household

This was a younger brother’s gift to replace my ancient microwave. It does everything I need ( popcorn, defrosts, reheating a cup of coffee, just a few uses and too many to list all! Looks great and is perfect for me. 5 stars for sure

Just what I need

Heats my spaghetti, I can make a potato with only two rounds and can have leftovers again. A bit loud during operation and the door snaps shut quite hard. I chose this product over the 0.9ft model because this one was available now vs waiting 3 weeks for delivery.
