The microwave heats and cooks fine, but it is louder than my old microwave. Also it would be nice if the controls were illuminated. Door is hard to open.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please keep in mind that, if you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave.

GE is generally a good, reliable brand. The microwave works OK but you have to push the buttons hard to operate. My only problem with it is that the light inside is dim and it is hard to see what is cooking. My previous microwaves had a much brighter light inside.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice style, works really well, quiet. Do not like the push button feature to open the door. Kind of hard to push in and I imagine it will eventually not work.
