started smoking and smelled like wires were melting 4 months old we only used it a few times the first time we used it over 5 mins it did this

I had an old GE Microwave & replaced it with a new one. So far I like it, still getting use to it but I love not having to flip the circut breaker a few times a week.

This is the second microwave in 3 years with the sane model. We believe our last one had a power surge . Other than that, it worked perfectly!

Dangerous failure

About five years after we purchased it, this microwave suffered a dangerous failure: when the door was opened, the microwave turned on, with the turntable turning and the microwave running. This failure occurred again even after unplugging the microwave and trying to reset it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Able to accomplish all the tasks that we needed. Some of the interior finish paint on the top peeled off within a year of ownership and usage.
