GE JES1145S Microwave is functional and reliable

The GE JES1145SHSS Countertop Microwave Oven is a great oven for heating food and water. It has the features we care about, cooking timer, power level and a clock timer that can be used while cooking. We have used several other higher priced major brands but they only lasted 2-3 years. This is our 3rd JES1145S and they seem to last 6-7 years. It is not a match a full size built in oven for cooking evenly. It does a great job of quickly heating frozen vegetables and reheating yesterday's leftovers.

Good microwave, but a bit noisy

This is a good basic microwave. All it does is microwaving; no air fry, no grilling, no anything else. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's a bit noisier than my previous one, and that the labels on the keys are somewhat hard to read in subdued light: grey on black instead of white on black. I would recommend this counter-top microwave.

Low cost, high value

We bought this microwave for temporary use while waiting over two weeks for parts to fix our built-in microwave. It's easy to use, fast heating, and didn't take up too much room on the counter. I cleaned it all up and plan to give it to our son for permanent use in his own place. Money well spent.
