Control panel should have darker lettering.

So far the microwave seems to work fine. The only problem that I have encountered so far is that the control panel is very light and difficult to see, daytime or night. The salesman told me that it would light up at night it does not. This seems like a simple problem that GE could fix by simply getting darker lettering for the control panel. The comparable sharp microwave has darker, easier to read lettering on it's control panel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid unit, very similar to our previous GE microwave, which we replaced after 15 years of reliable service simply because we were redecorating to all stainless steel appliances. No issues or problems!
