This is the loudest microwave I’ve ever had. If you press on the top of the unit it’s not as loud. Right now it’s been returned to the store I bought it from and they are checking it out. If they can’t find the problem they will replace it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does what I want to do!

This one is a step down from what I had but it is good enough for what I need now. I don't do a lot of cooking any more so I am ok with it. The one I had before was a GE but cooked a bit faster. I am satisfied with what I cooked in it today.

Unreadable key pad and no operating manual

The key pad is not visible because it is not back lit, so you have to have the kitchen lights on to read it. In addition, make sure you download the manual because GE does not include a manual with a new appliance and you will not be able to figure out the buttons on your own. What kind of company sells an appliance without a manual? The quick start instructions explain nothing except on and off. The link for the user care manual is above these reviews. It is frustrating to have a new appliance that makes you feel stupid.

Film on Keypad

For those with issues of peeling on the keypad and for those purchasing and unpacking: There is a blue film around the exterior and a clear film on the keypad to be removed. There are two stickers indicating that both need to be removed, but the one on the keypad is clear and not as obvious as the blue one. It is also a little trickier to peel off. There are several inquiries under Q&A asking about this, but the replies fail to answer the question.

Bad design

Control panel is peeling 30 days into use. Started with stop and start buttons and now progressing to time cook. All the the areas we touch most often are peeling and very difficult to read. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Microwave

I like the new microwave. It is fast at heating things up. I think if the touch pad buttons and numbers was illuminated a little bit that could be good....In low light it can be hard to read the buttons.
