Small kitchen win!

This microwave has a sleek design and fits better in our kitchen than the previous microwave we had which had a smaller capacity. We’re pretty happy with this.

Too cheap to include a manual

I like my GE microwave but I am very put off in the fact when there is no manual to go with it. When I went on line to print one off, there was going to be a charge. No recommendation from me.

Inconsistent

I’ve had this for 2 years. It is inconsistent. I cook the same thing every morning in the same bowl.
There are times when it is like warm and others where I can’t touch the bowl because it is too hot.

We want to offer some tips for cooking your food more evenly with your microwave. In some cases you may need to rotate the dish and stir or cover if appropriate, since trapped steam and heat help to promote even cooking. You can even lower the power level and extend the cooking time. You can also try an electronic reset, this can be done by removing the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in.

INSIDE Microwave PAINT LEACHING INTO OUR FOOD!!

Inside of microwave started peeling! It looks like it should be metal, but when I was cleaning it I saw it was actually paint! In one of the circular grooves the glass plate sits on, it looked as if there was some spilled food, but would come off. That’s when I discovered it was actually the microwave itself and there was no spilled food at alll. I don’t know how long this had been happening. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed in GE and would never buy from them again. I would like to know how many of these chemicals leached into my food.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had just warmed a cup of water in the microwave. 5-10 mins later I smelled smoke and fume in my kitchen then heard a glass breaking sound coming from the inside of the microwave and saw that the bottom of the microwave was burnt to the extent that the glass plate had started melting
