another great tax filing - thanx turbo-tax

everything is great again. I've used turbo tax for over ten years. The only problem this year was trying to correct double entries in my large purchase sales tax entries. I purchased a truck and a fifth wheel in 2013. When I first went through a draft for 2013 in January, I did some entries. Then today 4/15 (late night) I had to enter them again, but they had doubled up. I went to the form and was able to drop the double entries and everything was fine after that..
I really appreciate turbo tax for the schedule C version again!!!

Needs improvement

I made an error the first time I did my state tax and had to go back and repeat the whole thing 5-6xs before I could figure out how to get it to update with new info. Little explanation of state tax forms.
What's great about it: easier than paperfiling
What's not so great: expensive, state tax for NY had errors

Worst Version of Turbo Tax ever!!!!

I've used Turbo Tax many times but this version had LOTS of problems, missing forms, lack of adequate explanations, no easy links to IRS forms.
The most difficult part was having sold a car (and bought a new one) that I used for work and for my private practice.
What's great about it: Hmmm, well, it asked a lot of questions.
What's not so great: Many forms not ready - even by march. Endless error loops. Difficulty getting info to complete forms, need more..
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Bug found!

form 8829 line 15 showed an erroneous figure, -25000 or so, my home office deduction wasn't allowed. Had to start over and type everything in again.
What's great about it: worked well - taxes filed
What's not so great: had to start over with new file to get rid of bug/glitch
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Everything went smooth. Sold rental property and my wife has a business and Turbo Tax covers it all.
What's great about it: Easy to use and very thorough
What's not so great: Didn't find any cons

TurboTax tackles the difficult definitions and nuances of the law to shine light and clarity on an otherwise insurmountable task.
