I've used TurboTax over the years and it's given me not only better refunds but helped me understand my taxes too.
What's great about it: Ease of going through forms plus detailed explanations if needed

TurboTax makes it very easy to switch to standard forms then back to assisted input. TurboTax help provides concise information that typically answers most questions and also provides a link for more complete data. Last but not least the program seems to approve every year.
What's great about it: Simple, concise user interface
What's not so great: Makes an extremely complex process seem a bit too simple

Easy process again this year

Been using Turbo Tax Home and Business for 6 years, after spending too much for an accountant to do our taxes.
Totally satisfied with the process.
What's great about it: Brings in all past data, makes the process very straightforward
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Unable to e-file 1096

Product is advertised as a free 1099/1096 e-file, after doing the whole return no option is given to e-file, one can only print.
After looking up the topic, I see that many people have the same problem and there is no answer.Paper deadline had passed and now one can only e-file, worthless product, NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I have used turbo tax for the past few years. It is consistently good for covering all possible deductions.
What's great about it: Asks detailed questions in layman terms
What's not so great: a few questions were confusing but help center is good
