Awesome guide!

I have used TurboTax for years and have really appreciated the ease of use. I have used tax prep companies before. But I found I would still have to study and understand my taxes before going into the prep locations. Essentially, it was easier for me to do the taxes myself with TurboTax.
What's great about it: I appreciate the easy guide processs.
What's not so great: I cant think of one thing...
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

More program problems this year than last year

I encountered duplicate forms and duplicate calculations, incomplete forms although the screens prompted for it, and incomplete prompting on partnerships. This year was very frustrating due to the errors and amount of time it cost me. I have reported errors each year...this product needs to be tested better.
What's great about it: Most information from prior year brought forward to this year
What's not so great: A lot of bugs. You may need to switch to Form mode and correct

Turbo Tax Premier

For the cost I have to pay for the Turbo Tax Premier along with Home & Business, my feeling is the the state e-filing should be free as well. Plus the fee increase was a surprise, I did not expect.
What's great about it: Very user friendly

Easy...even for a complicated return.

Updates when you open file. Easy to use and if you've used TurboTax in the past and have saved your return it will move all important information into your return. It keeps track of all business depreciation if you have them. Gets easier every year!
What's great about it: Detailed instructions and easy to follow

Taxes Accomplished!

Honestly, TurboTax makes me not dread tax season. I started my own company at 20 and was told time and time again that tax season might break me... TurboTax has made it as simple a process as I imagine it could be for two years now and will happily be using the software again next year.
Important to me:
- Made sure that I saw everything I needed to in the tax code. I can't imagine I would have found have the deductions available to me without this software.
- Tracks multiple businesses so I'm able to keep track of both main and secondary businesses
- If you have any questions, information is readily available in the software or through a link to an external page which is great if, like me, you want to learn a little about what you're filling out and why certain things are deductible and others aren't.
- Made sure that I saw everything I needed to in the tax code. I can't imagine I would have found have the deductions available to me without this software.
- Tracks multiple businesses so I'm able to keep track of both main and secondary businesses
- If you have any questions, information is readily available in the software or through a link to an external page which is great if, like me, you want to learn a little about what you're filling out and why certain things are deductible and others aren't.
I cannot recommend TurboTax enough!
What's great about it: Ease of use, made sure that I hit every step, tracks multiple businesses, helpful explanatory information
What's not so great: Didn't get my 1099-MISC forms from the mailbox for me and open them?
