If my state doesn't allow auto reg deductions then TurboTax should know that and populate a zero and move on.
What's great about it: very thorough, accurate
What's not so great: auto registration fees were confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Product

Finally listened to my friend, and filed my own taxes, well I am very pleased to do it. Its not difficult at all.
What's great about it: Outstanding should have used it before
What's not so great: None

Tough Questions-Got Answers

Overall, Turbo Tax has been a great resource for me for the past 15 or so years. I had an issue this year with a form K-1 that I needed help on the phone with, but your representative was great and got me to where I needed to be by working with me to resolve the issue quickly. I will always recommend Turbo Tax to whomever asks.
What's great about it: Solved all my issues
What's not so great: Had to call your help center

Easy to complete and efile

I see the completed 1040A in pdf, instruct it to print that one page but it only prints a blank 1040A -- not the completed one. Why, Why, Why?
Also, even though it indicates the efile has been accepted, it shows one particular 1040 as to "continue"
What's great about it: Very straightforward to complete and efile 1040A
What's not so great: I cannot print a completed copy for my records

I owed 3000. when I went to the last outside person I went to. I had a business and he took no time to help review or anything. So I bought turbo tax got my 3000. back and have not had to pay since. I will never again go to outsiders who don't seem to know anything. I have also convinced at least 10 or more people to change to Turbo Tax and they have.
What's great about it: Excellent!!!!

Smooth Sailing in filing Taxes

I have been using Turbotax for years. They have walked me through some difficult tax years as well as some not so difficult. I have had no issues to date and Highly recommend Turbotax to those individuals or couples who want to handle their own filings with a trusted source. Its all in one package, all ready to go, just plug in the numbers, and fly.
What's great about it: Walk through

Second return - one big flaw

This is my second review, for a second return I did for a family member. This was a basic return so very simple, and TurboTax did a great job. I like that I had the option to choose which categories to go through, since it would have taken far too much time to have to go through all of them for such a basic return. However, when I got to the end there was a big problem. It wouldn't let me e-file the return because it said there were updates available. Okay, whatever, I'll just get the updates right? But once the updates were loaded, it continued giving the same error message no matter what I did. I checked for updates again and there were none. Then I tried e-filing again and got the error message again that I couldn't file because there were updates available. I waited several hours and tried again, same thing. Finally I was forced to print the returns for mailing instead of e-filing, because the e-filing system had totally shut down due to the updates. This is a flaw that desperately needs to be fixed.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Doesn't update correctly
