Made the whole process much less intimidating.

TurboTax made the whole process much less intimidating. Download of 1099 from Brokerage account was very simple, accurate and efficient. It was very easy to "learn more" abount any field.
What's great about it: Easy to use, very clear instructions, helpful details, good download of 1099 from brokerage account
What's not so great: Could not download credit union 1099-DIV
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Been using TT for 15 years and will continue.
What's great about it: Error corrections are easier
What's not so great: Got caught in a circular trap on a specific error correction.

I've used TurboTax for over 20 years and I'll be back!
What's great about it: Quick additions and logical guidance
What's not so great: Cannot print some forms, particularly in the Ohio state return.

Quik and Easy

I had hoped to break even or get a refund but I at least know what I have to do for next years taxes, Turbo Tax got me all the write offs I am entitled to. I can't ask for anything more. :D

Love it! Used for the at least the last 15 years!
What's great about it: Fast, easy, reliable
What's not so great: A coiuple of minor problems when TT recognizes that a form is not required. Creates an endless loop!

turbo tax review 2013

I have been a turbo tax user for a lot of years and there are always changes that are some time for the better and others for the best. I realize the IRS make change according to new laws but when they do remember that the regular folks are not all accounts. at least try to set it up with a snap shot the previous year so that we stay on the same page. Also; at the end don't hold up filing with so much other stuff.

What's not so great: can't find some areas for certain file to work on very easy.

I wish that Turbo Tax would review past years data so that it would calculate a depreciation that was used in the event of a sale of business. I always use TT so this would be very helpful

So easy and helpful

I really believe this is the easiest to understand accounting type software. I wish I could find a regular accounting software for my business that is this easy to understand and comprehensive. Please consider creating a Home & Business Accounting Software for Dummies with this kind of wonderful interaction and thoroughness.

What's great about it: Very good directions, easy to understand, seems very thorough.
What's not so great: Surprise charges at the end.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
