I have used Turbo Tax program for the past 15 years. I love the program. I find it easy to maneuver through the questions and forms. I like the format of the questions that are asked to gather the most information possible. Thank you for your product.
What's great about it: Easy to operation and maneuver
Fast, easy, and comprehensive. Best feature is to be able to import previous year's tax return and all personal data and able to import electronically all investments. That alone saved me one or two days.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, and comprehensive. Imports investments.
What's not so great: Individual "update" function is confusing at times
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
the only problem i really had was entering vehicles. I owned one and traded it in for another mid year in July. at some point i had too many vehicles listed in the program (*they were duplicates) so i really need to learn and understand that section but everything else went very smoothly and i have a difficult return with schedule c and e. Will definitely use this program next year!!! saved me $350
What's great about it: They provide great explanations and it walks you right thru each item
What's not so great: trouble with entering vehicles.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
failed to electronically submit returns after paying for state and after twice downloading updates .. Now how do I get my electronic California state filing fee returned??
What's great about it: expected
What's not so great: failed to electronically submit return after paying and after ..
There are parts of life that should work correctly. If I were confronted with a paper return, I would first boggle, then I would be looking for a copy of Turbo Tax. When a child stops trusting the adults to know how everything works, they are often face to face with the IRS. Turbo Tax is the tool to restore a little trust in humanity, obviating the necessity to tame the unruly beast of Taxland.
One thing that was odd this year was an unexplained line item during the error check. I chose to enter a random date, since I had not one clue as to the context of the neglected field that was presented to me.
Thanks for great software, Intuit. I'm glad you're in to it. Heheh.
What's great about it: procedure, information, and client service
