Mostly Good

As usual, TurboTax provides a way to prepare tax returns with a minimum of paper, opportunity for calculation error, or chance of overlooking an issue. I was able to import three separate brokerage statements, saving a lot of data entry and eliminating a source of potential error. Suggestion: Create a separate relocation module for those moving between states. Charge for it and include the most common allocation issues and reminders of relocation-related deductions.
What's great about it: Comprehensive coverage of federal issues. Basic state tax issues.
What's not so great: Almost no help on allocation issues from dealing with two states (had to resort to a spreadsheet).
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Many Years of Turbo Tax

I have a minor in accounting and I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 10 years. It helps to have an accounting background, but this is one of the most user friendly tax programs on the market today. As long as your entries are honest and legit, it is almost impossible to enter wrong information.
What's great about it: Extremely User Freindly
What's not so great: Quite Pricey for Business or Professional Version

I encountered two issues when filling out my taxes on TurboTax. 1. there is no autosave feature. There needs to be a shadow return, so if something happens while filling out the forms, this information can be downloaded directly into the tax forms.
2. When using the guide, sometimes the information doesn't show up if you switch to entering the info as you direct. This causes a lot of confusion.

So quick!

It took me just 10 minutes to file. I had only two W2s, so it was easy, and I knew how to skip all unnecessary questions about foreigh accounts etc.
What's great about it: Very simple, easy to follow
What's not so great: Too many items to review if following the guide
