2013 Fed Tax Turbo Tax style

Absolutely fantastic product, I hand enter everything and still love the step by step tutorial style and ability to research why and the law. Quicken needs to help their users on identifying the proper tax related links to make data transfer easy and accurate.
What's great about it: easy, step by step
What's not so great: Quicken data transfer, on the Quicken side needs help guide user

I would recommend TurboTax to almost anyone. I think it is easy to use and you don't have to know the tax law. There are some sections (subtleties in business income) that you need to know more about accounting standards.
What's great about it: ease of use, access to help,
What's not so great: still doesn't bring all information forward from past year. couldn't remove estimated number even when zeroed

I've been using TurboTax for many years now and I'm very pleased with how the product works. I'm also very pleased with the tax advice I received. My representative was extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable.
What's great about it: Like the way they continue to look for ways to improve the product
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Cannot file electonically
on September 30, 2014

In Tennessee, the Hall income tax is based on interest and dividend income, which is net investment taxable income. Because of this, the entire amount should be deductible on the 1040 form, and form 8960. Because you must manually override the line on the 1040 form, Ttax will not allow you to file electronically. You must print and mail the form.
What a pain.
What's great about it: Does most things well
What's not so great: Doesn't handle state tax properly

Have been using for 10 years

Turbo Tax is great for people with simple returns, but It seems that each year Turbo Tax makes it harder to complete your return if your situation is more complicated. It is impossible to get in touch with a live person at Turbo Tax and when using the forums, etc. that are available, the information is incomplete. On at least two issues I had to go to the IRS to get answers, then still could not get Turbo Tax to work properly. Finally I had to go to the forms sections and find the forms that the IRS said that I needed then force them into the Turbo Tax template.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use
What's not so great: Help and questions are not easy to use. Hard to find answers.

TurboTax User Solid

I sometimes have difficulty locating an item. I can't find the Payer or Agent ID Number for a foreign pension fund which had failed to print the ID on an NR4 form.
What's great about it: Good all around, quite thorough
What's not so great: Can't locate the Tax ID numbers from 1099 or NR4 type docs
