Helpful for complex income and deductions

I've used a CPA for the past 10 years. TurboTax helped me manage multiple sources of income, parsed investment accounts automatically and almost instantly, lined up deductions quickly, and filed federal and state returns for a very reasonable cost in both time and dollars.
What's great about it: Step by step help with deductions
What's not so great: Asked for some info I did not have handy
I've used TurboTax for a number of years now, and it's very good. It's annoying that I can't do W2s within the program, but must go online. This year, I also found an error in TT's treatment of a specialized tax code issue, and even by October, it had not been corrected. I must say, though, that this was very unusual. In the past, TT has known tax code features my accountant didn't know! A highly recommended product.
What's great about it: Easy to work through step-by-step
What's not so great: Can't do W2s on Mac, tax code errors
I have used Turbotax every year for the last 35 years, more or less. It 's a lot better than it was when I first started with it, but it still have some quirks, and it doesn't seem to be able to understand how things change with the dates. If I'm doing a late filing or an amended return, it still discusses doing extensions. If you don't tell it when you want to do the state return, it wants to file the Federal without it. I just wonder if the authors ever try to use the software a few months after writing it. Overall, it is about 94% good, but you have to be alert to take over the lead when it falls flat.
What's great about it: I like that the format is similar every year, and that they keep improving the ease in completing the forms.
What's not so great: I still find things that will not update easily, and sometimes I find I have to take 3 right turns to get there.
TT does an excellent job with most basic returns. TT needs to handle K-1 (PTP) sales without needing a workaround. Intuit needs to realize that PTP are far more common now and users of TT should have to jump through hoops to get the correct data entered. This needs to be a priority!
What's great about it: Basic tax preparation is outstanding
What's not so great: K-1 section needs major overhaul
