All in all a good product. My detailed memory had never been good for specifics, but good for remembering the generalities. So It often take me a while to home in on the correct part of TT.
Big criticism that needs to be fixed. I live in Texas so no state taxes. Always have income from New Mexico. when I move thru TT from IRS to state and back to IRS and back to State etc. etc, I get the screen that says I do not have state taxes and cannot seem to go right to the NM step by step. I must go to the download and then download the free state or fumble around and try to get to the correct step by step.
What's great about it: do not remember the flags. was unaware of them intil I had funbled around for several days moving back and forth.
What's not so great: difficult to skip through a section when not needed.
Didn't ask many questions about my home office deduction. Last year it ask many question and I was able to get a larger deduction. This year was much less. The laws may have changed.
What's great about it: I have used it for years. Very helpful.
What's not so great: Didn't ask many questions about my home office deduction.
I have less confidence in this form than most of the ones I've filed and I've used turbo tax for the last 8-10 years. I started the day with over $100.00 refund & all I added was some deductions and it went to $65,00
What's great about it: it semed easy to add my information
What's not so great: had a hard time daling with a change of residence
