Could File Without Turbo Tax

I have been using Turbo Tax for nearly 10 years now and love it! I hate filing taxes but Turbo Tax makes an undesirable job 'enjoyable' and easy!
What's great about it: It keeps me organized
What's not so great: I love everything about it!

would be nice to have a go to menu where you type in where in your return you want to go and it would take you there.
What's great about it: up to date review, always update available and accessible
What's not so great: hard to find individual data once entered

Good and Fast on PC

Good fast on PC with downloaded version. Could let you know that unless you have $x in a certain catagory like medical/professional/other expenses that you won't get a deduction so you don't waste time looking for something you don't need.
A little better flow and more information for ISO Stock options would be nice too, also more information in general regarding all sections.
What's great about it: Walks Through
What's not so great: Not as much details on some catagories
Pros: I had a baby, I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: No tax prep experience, not a problem, just answer and click!
What's not so great: Whew so many questions...

Found every single deduction!

Responsive and knowledgeable support helped me understand the entries needed to get my biggest refund. A "master class" in customer service!

Return Printing

Finding the applicable items in it's deductible to match donations is daunting and out of date, especially toys but everything else in completing Turbo Tax returns is well explained.
Since I double side print my mailed return to State, it would be nice when selecting print for filing that the instructions page was not included in the page count and print. I had to redo the print to eliminate that page, wasting paper. Remember to select printing range of page 2-XX.

What's great about it: Running balance of tax owed or due.
What's not so great: Printing shouldn't include the instructions page with the forms which inbeds in double sided return.

makes the painful livable

I used TurboTax Home and Business 2013 to prepare and file my taxes.
By far the nicest thing was it downloaded my ESPP stock sale information from my broker. I didn't have to go through the usual, painful experience of trying to figure out cost basis and ordinary income vs. short-term capital gains vs. long-term capital gains, or what was or was not included on my W-2. Very helpful.
Puzzling to me was why it didn't automatically check for updates. I was nearly done with my taxes before I finally did it myself, and had to go back and double-check quite a bit. Really, this should at least be offered automatically at startup.
What's great about it: comprehensible, downloaded my stock sales

So glad I decided to use Turbo Tax this year. I have always had someone else do my taxes, or attempted to do it myself. This was so easy and less stress. Thanks!
