Very easy to use

I have been using Turbo Tax for years with great success. Now that my wife has started her Real Estate business it has been very helpful in determining what can be used as a business expense.
What's great about it: The Home Business portion and itemized deductions
What's not so great: Stepping back through items that you have already answered. Cost of the State e-filing.

Great for Procrastinators

Liked the ability to complete my taxes in one evening and the clear explanations and help available from the Turbo Tax community. I found answers to all my questions.
What's great about it: Liked that I could go to forms or walk through interview process to make sure nothing was missed
What's not so great: Too many different deduction steps

Bug prevented efile

I have used turbo tax for at least the last 8 years.
Depreciating assets came in automatically.
The automatic total was negative this year.
It refused to file because of the negative total.

around 7 hours on phone with four of your representatives to try to get my 2012 taxes(from last year) off your site = failure for unknown reasons.... but your 2 tax experts were extremely helpful through it all! //////////////////
I just started and entered 2013's data without 2012 and persevered.
I am confused about what rating turbotax gets overall.
What's great about it: customer service tried hard to help, data entry comprehensive,
What's not so great: last year's taxes not able to download = corrupted by what/who??

Easy to Use

I was very impressed with how easy this was to use. I've always done my taxes with no help, but thought I'd give TurboTax a try. So much better than going it alone!

I have used Turbo Tax for over 12 years and found it to be incredibly thorough. If I had to list one aspect that I don't like about Turbo Tax is that everyone in my family now expects me to help them prepare their tax returns, too.

Glad it's done

I've used Turbo Tax for a few years now. I wasn't intimidated by the software when I first used it. It's user friendly. I like the easy going comments and words of encouragement. I completed my return in record time this year. Thanks.
What's great about it: For the most part, very easy to use
What's not so great: sometimes difficult finding sections that need correcting

Won't e-file all cases

I was nearing a deadline and was counting on e-filing. But it would NOT e-file a Fed. 1040A. At that point, it should have converted it to a 1040 or SOME form that WOULD e-file. I barely made it to the post office.
So it doesn't keep its promises.
What's not so great: Won't e-file a 1040A form.
