When i finished the form I was unable to email it , It could not be validated and said i needed an upgrade but no upgrade was available.

Extra for state

I like the ability to easily go through the process but I can not stand the fact that the extra fees come up at the end. I will not be using turbo tax net year. I can deduct the cost of my fees so I'll go have someone else that will do everything for me.

Outstanding for over a decade

I have used TurboTax and it's precursor for over twenty years. Each year it becomes more capable and more robust. I use it for easy returns for relatives, and for my relatively complex return as well. It has never come up short.
What's great about it: Complete, and idiot proof
What's not so great: No ability to go directly to a selected area of the interview
Pros: I bought or sold investments

SIMPLE FILING

Everything was great, only drawback was after entering information each time, I was returned to the top of the summary, then would have to scroll down every time to select "next deduction" for example. A little bothersome
What's great about it: EASY GUIDE
What's not so great: MISGUIDED PROMPTS

Easy to do business info

I've used Turbo Tax for over 20 years and it's by far the easiest way to do my taxes. The program guides you step-by-step so you don't miss anything.
What's great about it: Simple, easy to use, step by step
What's not so great: No Cons -

Good, but not as simple as prior years

I have used Turbo Tax for about 10 years to file my taxes. It's simple to use, checks for errors, and provides audit protection which gives me peace of mind.
However, the explanations given when I selected "explain this" were in IRS-ese instead of plain English, which made them difficult if not impossible to understand. This is a significant difference from my prior years of experience with Turbo Tax and is likely because of all the tax law changes. I would love it if the explanations did something other than refer me to an IRS document.
What's great about it: simple input, audit protection, error checing

Capabilities Removed-Need to Reinstate

As always an excellent product and helps streamline and properly develop and deliver my annual income taxes.
However, several changes in 2013 that degrade/detriment the product:
1. "Save As" function removed - does not allow for audit trail as tax forms are updated, corrected, and what-if runs are made - cannot go back to previous version to check for entry chnages
2. If user makes erroneous entries, program automatically saves file not allowing to close document and reopen to previous "good" state
3. RE: Misc Itemized worksheets - removed the "sort table" capability - no longer can sequence entries for either alpha or numeric sorting
It is regrettable these changes were made - they degrade the quality of the product from a user perspective - suggest future editions reinstate the capabilities.
Other items may have been changed that I did not notice or become impacted by.
The product quality remains generally good, but this made the 2013 experience less enjoyable (if preparing taxes is a "fun event").

I would not change anything and would recommend TURBO TAX to everyone.
