Excellent tax software

TurboTax is by far the best tax software available. If you are comfortable choosing what you want to work on, you can skip to those things, otherwise you can answer questions that will help you do your return. While the questions can get lengthy, nothing will be skipped. I use this software every year.
What's great about it: Builds this year from last year. Makes carry forwards SO easy. Gives suggestions on savings.
What's not so great: I want to print, not review each time. I wish it were a little clearer how to delete a form that is no longer needed.

Rocked my refund

I had a lot of problems with double state returns, however, with the assistance of Candy S. From Missouri, we worked on it for HOURS and got everything resolved and got a great refund! thank you!
What's great about it: THE HELP
What's not so great: problems with state taxes

first time - definite money saver

would be nice to have a checklist associated with each section ...to help us to know what to keep records of throughout the up coming year
I just did what I have been paying my CPA to do for the last several years but my CPA is a good guy, hate to say goodbye to him..plus getting hassled from state for not e-filing....little things...like tearing off w-2's!.....hmmm
hate giving the fed/state my checking account...do NOT trust them but with postal theft now days....kinda in a catch 22...sigh....

Easy to do and to answer all my deductions.

assisted with home office deduction

I'm not sure I needed to buy the business version, as I had a W-2 home office.
And, it didn't save all previous input answers for radio button responses and had to re-enter whenever reviewing.

What's great about it: Didn't have to read manuals.
What's not so great: business version more complicated than Deluxe

What's great about it: Populated prior year tax returns
What's not so great: Could not install on Windows 7. Needed to load on old XP PC

Great product for the money - especially if you only need the basic edition. For difficult tax issues you may still need to consult a tax professional. But that would be the case for any tax software on the market.
What's great about it: Easy to use. I like to enter most data through the Forms view. Very accurate
What's not so great: It would be nice if W-2s were available on the basic version for people with household employees.
