Done With My 2013 Taxes

Some acronyms were used through the process that I did know if I answered the questions correctly. But since TurboTax did not complain that I did anything wrong, I guess I answered the questions correctly.
What's great about it: Processing Flow Throughout The Filing Was Very Smooth
What's not so great: HDHP acronym was used. What is that?

The best for the DIY tax filer

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. After taking a tax course, I am really impressed with how closely it matches to the professional tax preparer programs I have used. And you can always go to the IRS site to review specific instructions, or ask for help on the Turbo Tax site.
What's great about it: Tax information is asked in fairly logical order and laymen's terms
What's not so great: Should be easier to go back to a specific section to review and change.

need better error resolution taking user to field that can be corrected. no problem with same section last year

What's not so great: Error on K1 form for one of our limited partnerships was not able to be resolved

TurboTax is the best - We would never consider using other Tax Software. Easy to use and accurate calculations.
What's great about it: Easy to Import Last Year's Info & Current Earnings.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

My tax file got corrupted

In the middle of doing the inputs into the program the Turbotax failed and stopped. The program had to be re installed. My tax file was corrupted and had to be deleted. Needed to start over from the beginning. This took a lot of extra time. Did not instill to much confidence in the Turbotax program.

Also i had a lot of trouble with with form K-1. I had to try to fill out K-1 by hand. No idea if it is done right. There is no easy step for form K-1
What's great about it: I like easy step when it works
What's not so great: Program failed and corrupted the tax file. Had to start over

First time user

This is the first time since 1973 that we have done our own taxes. Although our accountant was very good and did our taxes for all those years, his costs mounted and became a luxury we retired people could no longer afford. If this years filing continues to be is as easy and accurate as we think, we'll be back next year with out a doubt.
What's great about it: Appeared to ask all the right questions and made data entry simple.
What's not so great: Nervous about not seeing the actual full page entry until done.
