Had problem with payment choices

Very pleased until it came time to select payment method. TurboTax seemed to want to steer me to credit card payment for a fee after I had selected to mail in my check. Very unhappy with this.
What's great about it: autofill to proper locations on return
TT is awesome, it's clear, logical, well-organized and simple. However, if you skip something or miss something, when you go back there is a lot you must re-enter. Also, it seems some screens could be combined so there is less paging through.
What's great about it: Easy, logical, clear
What's not so great: Going back means re-inputting a lot
I am not sure what could have been easier. In some ways, I would have liked to have seen copies of the forms as the data was entered, so that I could have seen it processed, but I understand that would have required additional programming and the end result would be the same.
What's great about it: Logical, Simple and Easy
What's not so great: None, worked better than past years
For years, did this with pencil and calculator. Upon reviewing this years forms, I know I could never go back. The advantage of doing it with TT as compared to going to a tax preparer, is that you're home and have convenient access to the information that TT requires.
What's great about it: Walks you thru
What's not so great: Lots of luck finding sales tax paid estimator
Turbo tax reads in last year's entries and saves much time on entry. This is especially helpful with charitable contributions.
It also does several comparisons of this years numbers and last year's entries. It also offers saving suggestions using retirement saving.
Turbo Tax downloads investment info (1099s) from all major and many minor investment services saving a great deal of time on entering those transactions.
We've used TurboTax for a few years now, and we've been happy with it. I'd love it if the Home Office expenses section were easier to edit. Once I've added the basics, I shouldn't have to go through all of those questions every time I need to add an item. That was ridiculously cumbersome. Also, when I was going through the Review, there obviously was an item somewhere that I had marked as estimated, because all of the wage areas were marked in red. I would love to see a search feature that would allow me to search for that item. As it was, I had to go through my return line by line to find the one estimated item. All in all, though, it cost a little less than an accountant would, and I was able to do my taxes in the comfort of my own family room.
What's great about it: Makes it easy to go through the tax preparation process
What's not so great: Some areas (Home office, e.g.) cumbersome to update
