Easy to follow

Overall, like every previous year, I had a great experience. This was the first year I needed to file that I had sold some individual stocks, though and the program had some issues with separating short and long term capital gains. I knew the entries were correct, luckily I work in finance and knew what I was doing. I saved the return, walked away for a couple of hours and when I went back fairly easily fixed the problem. The chat room gave me an idea if not the answer so that did help.
What's great about it: As always, easy step by step
What's not so great: one difficulty with short and long term capital gains, glad I am in the business so I understood the problem.

It was easy

Generally very good. However, not abloe to handle complex returns but I still would use it.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate structure for various forms
What's not so great: Unable to efile state return due to foreign address on one of the rental properties

Love TurboTax.... BUT

Have been using TurboxTax for 20+ years (i.e. the days of the 5-1/4" floppy!) and love it. A bit scary this time around as there was no assurance that Heartbleed had been fixed, although they use SSL coding. It would be nice to know their status so I don't have to worry about my CC info.
What's great about it: Very easy to use, detailed help screens, nearly invisible updates on tax law changes
What's not so great: No assurance HeartBleed was fixed.

Long Form - Short Time

It was a long nerve racking ordeal but I knew that going in, itemizing is always difficult but Turbo Tax made a long road easier.
What's great about it: Advice Easy to Understand
What's not so great: Would like more specific direction for corrections
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What a relief!

The Home/Business program is excellent. I own a small business that I operate out of my home office. It so easy to use whether you go through the program on your own or use the guidance the program offers I prefer the guided program that way I don't miss anything! I have been using TurboTax since 2009 and it just gets better with each year.
What's great about it: I like the guidance through the program.

Saved my bacon

Overall a great experience. The time saved when dealing with stock sales/dividends, capital gains, home business,IRAs, retirement income, social security, etc. etc. is immeasurable. I've spent many, many years prior to Turbo Tax, doing them longhand. There is just no comparison with the time, effort and accuracy. I've used Turbo Tax now for the past nearly 20 years...there's no turning back.
What's great about it: The step by step approach is a great catchall.
What's not so great: Especially in the stock/bond/fund sales and dividends/interest area I'd like to see less industry jargon

Easy to use

Second year I have used Turbo Tax, it is very user friendly and goes through the tax returns step by step asking questions so you don't miss anything. REcommended
What's great about it: Intuitive, thought provocing
What's not so great: Could use a preview of questions in the categories
