under expectations

Tried the online version and found it woefully inadequate. Wasn't able to use the forms version of the program. This was not made clear at a time of sale, that one was buying an stripped down version.
Was pleased though that I could get a refund and switched to downloaded version.
That version functioned adequately but it was sometimes difficult to find the correct place to make a change. Links between the form and the input sheet were sometimes missing.

I am so glad my sister recommended I do this. I divorced last year and my husband used to do the taxes for both our businesses. I feel now I should have used this all along. He missed so many things that I now see I could have written off all these years. Freedom and change is what this is all about
What's great about it: Easy to enter information, excellent at digging for all my deductions

Almost excellent

Each year, TurboTax seems to do some things better and other things not as well as the year before.
This year, the step-by-step felt much clearer. But finding a particular spot you want to return to seems much more difficult until I learned to Search for the topic.
However, once in the Search for topic function, the suggested steps didn't always line up with button and menu labels. I suspect this has to do with different parts of the software being finished at different times.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Harder to backtrack
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Could not efile my return with an error on a W-2 generated by my employer. I had to enter a zero for my medicare tax withheld even though an apparent error was on the form. Hope it doesn't affect my return.
What's great about it: Great guide; easy to use even with a business

Easy to Use

Turbo Tax is easy to use and guides you through all tax areas efficiently. This is the 6th year that I've used Turbo Tax. Prior to that, I did my own taxes. Turbo Tax helps me get the job done more quickly and with less outside research because it takes me right to the Q & A help if I need it.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax guides you through every tax area efficiently.

Turbo Tax is just an easy tool to handle the complicated tax code and filing! I formerly did all by hand calculations for years.
What's great about it: Steps me through first time - then allows me to choose what to reopen.
