I have been using Intuit products over 15 years, both Quicken & TurboTax.
In the beginning auto-renewal was cost effective, however the last few years, I have watched as you began to give TurboTax way as my costs to auto-renew have been going up annual.
This will be my LAST year to auto-renew TurboTax.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Auto-renewal costs

ca Form 3800

CA Form 3800 is kiddie tax. You have to link parent returns and all child returns together to get answers. TT does not do this at all. A lot of manula work doing multiple returns, never finishing them. then going back, collecting the info for Form 3800 and having to manually enter data. Then go back and finish all returns. Wish t had a better way. Also no help links on the info page.
What's great about it: Gives you the state forms.
What's not so great: Does not prefill or link info well.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Suggestion for Charitable Deductions

Please alphabetize the list of institutions getting charitable deductions. Its great to have the list from the previous year, but its hard to go through this year's deductions and line them up with the list from last year when the order is arbitrary.

Escellent program, even at 94, your instructions and answering your questions are easy to follow. . I am using TurboTax since its inception. Before I prepared my own returns. It is a terrific help, as we enter the senior years; all we have to do is to enter the correct numbers without having to make calculations. Before filing, I review my entries to be sure that there are no typos.
